I offer joy-filled family sessions for laid-back, loving families throughout Potomac Maryland area and beyond who want real connection, genuine moments, and beautiful memories without the stiff poses or stress. Family sessions take place right at your home or around your neighborhood where your kids can move, explore, and be themselves.
If you’d rather spend your session playing with your kids, walking together, and soaking in this season of life instead of worrying about everyone standing still and smiling at the camera, you’re in the right place and I’d love to work with you!
Sessions are designed to be simple and fully taken care of start to finish so you can just show up and enjoy your family.

Hi! I’m Tabitha, your Avenel family photographer!
I’m a family photographer based in Kensington, Maryland, and I work with families throughout Potomac, Avenel, and the Washington, D.C. area.
I’m also a mom so I know how quickly these seasons change. The chaos, the sweet moments, and all of those things that happen in between are all worth remembering!
During your session I’ll gently guide you so you feel comfortable. I’m not here to over-pose your family or force smiles. I follow your kids’ lead so we can capture real connection and personality. We’ll focus on connection, movement, and the natural moments that unfold when you’re together.
My goal is for you to have a relaxed and enjoyable experience where you can actually be with your family while I take care of documenting it all.

We’ll choose a location that fits your family, plan around the best light, and keep things simple so you can focus on being together.
I’ll guide you when needed, but never force moments. The best images come from real connection, not perfection.
