I’m so thrilled to hear you’re interested in working together to document your family! Family photo sessions shouldn't be stressful. They should be joyful, relaxed, and full of connection. That's why I love the lifestyle approach to family photography, it allows me to get to know your family. During your session I’ll capture the moments and details, and create a gallery full of beautiful images of your family for years to come. My approach is relaxed and child-led, with gentle guidance and posing when needed, so that your images feel natural and unique to your family.

What a session with me is like

Family sessions with me are easygoing and enjoyable and they’re not about perfectly behaved kids or stiff poses. I’ll pose and guide movement, play, and connection to create moments that unfold naturally on their own. I guide you gently with prompts that encourage authentic interaction, and I capture the real expressions and beautiful dynamics of your family.

Your family session can take place outdoors in the Washington, D.C. area or in the comfort of your own home.

Meet Tabitha

I’m Tabitha, a family photographer based in Kensington, Maryland, serving Washington, D.C., Montgomery County, and Northern Virginia.

I've always been interested in people and connection. I think that's why I love what I do and I love being a lifestyle photographer capturing the small details, connection and emotion. I do pose and guide when needed, but the goal is always to get photos of your family that tell your story. My goal is for your session to feel easy, so your images feel like you. When you receive your final gallery I want you to be filled with love and emotion for years to come.

Scheduling your session

We will work together to confirm a date, time, and location for your session. You’ll laugh, play and connect with your family and I’ll be there to document each moment. Within 2 weeks of your session you’ll get a link to view, share, and download your full gallery!

Investment

Your All-Inclusive Session Fee starts at $975 and includes a family session lasting around an hour (two hours for newborns), a digital gallery of at least 50 high resolution images from your session, and a complimentary 10”x8” custom photo album.

A signed contract and non-refundable retainer fee of $300 is required to book the session, with the remaining balance due prior to the session.*Pricing is for immediate family only, please contact me for pricing and session information for extended family members

Sessions take place outdoors or in your home, depending on the season and what feels right for your family.

How far in advance should we book?
Most families book several weeks in advance, especially during fall and spring.
