Outdoor Family Photos in Old Town Alexandria | Lifestyle Family Photographer

On the blog today I am talking all about this family of three photo session I had in Old Town Alexandria!

We played, snuggled, walked around, and explored a few different areas in Old Town Alexandria. Old Town is full of beautiful row houses, cobblestone roads, alleyways, spring flowers, and beautiful murals!

This was a beautiful morning and I’m so happy to have met this family. They picked the perfect spot!

What do you think about Old Town? It’s super cute right???

One of the best things about doing a session here is that we have so many options without needing to walk very far. Within just a couple of blocks we have options for vibrant color, soft neutral backdrops, some Old Town historic architecture, and even the Potomac waterfront!

Old Town Alexandria is beautiful year round. I love the blooms in the spring and the summer, and I love looking at the doorsteps and fall decor in the fall.

I think this makes such a great area for families in the Northern Virginia area who want an outdoor session that feels relaxed and playful, while also having a mix of color, character, and movement.

If you’re looking for an outdoor family photographer in Alexandria, I’d love to help you plan a session here!

I offer on-location family sessions throughout the Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Montgomery County area and would love to work with you!

There is something so special about getting extended family together in one place. I didn't grow up with my cousins and grandparents and I enjoyed being able to spend some time with this family and capture the things that are special to this family. They wanted to be outside so naturally the family pups were able to be part of the session. I'm all about capturing all members of the family, including the pups! They stayed with us for some of the photos and then decided to just walk away when they were finished and didn't want to be a part of it anymore. But that's okay!

There was so much laughter during this session and it was fun to just follow the girls around! This park in Decatur has some great trees and woods so naturally the girls had lots of ideas of what they wanted to do. I was just there for the ride!

If you're interested in a family session, please say hello and I would love to talk to you! I love getting to know families and here are some recent sessions on the blog
