Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in the right at home where your family is most comfortable and at ease when welcoming a baby. This style of photography is baby-led and usually taken within the first few days up to 2 months of your baby’s life.
Your newborn session includes natural lifestyle newborn portraits and images with your family throughout the Washington D.C. area, including families in neighborhoods like Chevy Chase, Takoma Park, Cleveland Park, and Georgetown, as well as nearby Virginia communities.
This type of newborn photography is for you if you want newborn photos that feel natural and relaxed, without leaving your home or worrying about your baby being perfectly posed or asleep.

So happy you’re here! I’m a newborn photographer based in Kensington, Maryland, serving families across the Washington, D.C. area and beyond.
I’m also a mom and I know the newborn days are fleeting. For that reason I’m passionate about capturing connection and emotion using a lifestyle approach. I’m drawn to genuine moments because we know our kids grow way too fast.
As your photographer, my goal is to provide with you with a comfortable and fun session experience where you will be present with your family. I’ll take care of guiding and documenting details so that we can create beautiful art of your family for you to cherish.
My sessions are designed to capture your family’s warmth, love, and beautiful chaos in a way that feels easy and genuine.

The Newborn Session Experience
During your newborn session experience I want everything to feel calm and connected, not rushed or stiff.
Think of it as time spent simply enjoying your baby and beautiful family while I gently guide you through light posing that feels natural.
My goal is to create beautiful, natural photos that feel like you, that you’ll treasure for years.
If it’s your first baby, we will document those quiet moments of snuggling with your baby, feeding baby, and slowing down this time.
If you have older children, we will include them in the session (older siblings seem to love reading and showing their toys to the new baby!).
Furry family members are included as well!

When should I book my newborn photography session?
Most families reach out during pregnancy to secure their session within the first few weeks after baby arrives. I keep a few flexible spots each month to accommodate if baby comes before or after their due date.
Where do sessions take place?
Lifestyle newborn sessions take place right in the comfort for your home. I also offer fresh 48 sessions at nearby hospitals such as Suburban Hospital and Sibley Memorial in Washington, D.C.
What if my baby is already a few weeks old?
That’s totally okay! This style of newborn photography is relaxed and natural, no matter your baby’s age.
